Summer with a four-year-old moves differently.

Days are filled with playgrounds, flowers, water, scraped knees, books, little adventures, and plenty of time to explore. Things that may feel ordinary to me can become the most important part of her day.

This summer, I started bringing my camera along more often. Not to create perfect photographs or plan what would happen, but simply to observe.

I photographed her climbing trees, getting wet, reading outside, exploring, playing, and noticing tiny things I probably would have walked right past.

And somewhere between documenting her childhood and watching her experience the world, I found myself paying attention differently too.

These photographs are a little piece of our summer break in 2026.

Nothing extraordinary.

Just childhood, exactly as it was.

And maybe that is what makes it worth remembering.
